The Raiders are back in action for three games this weekend. Starting tonight, Oct. 5 at 7:30PM, the Raiders will be in Caledon to face the Admirals in one of two meetings this season. The Raiders post a 4-4-0-2 record, good for 10 points and 7th in the western conference. The Admirals post a 1-5-0-3 record, good for 5 points and 11th in the west. The admirals top scorer Deandreas de Jesus with 6 points in 9 games to start the year. The Raiders top scorer is Krisitian Lamanna, with 12 points in 10 games. It should be a spirited and action-packed affair at the Mayfield Recreation Complex tonight.
Saturday, Oct. 8, the Raiders return home to reignite the Battle of North Halton with bitter rivals, the Milton Menace. The Menace and Raiders had many close battles last season and Saturday’s contest looks to be no different. Milton has had a good start to the season, with a 7-2-1-0 record, good for 15 points and second in the west. Top scorer of Milton is Connor Driscoll, with 14 points in on 7 games played. Many chippy and scrappy games occurred last season between these two clubs; expect the rivalry to reignite Saturday night. The Raiders are ready and we look forward to seeing our fans at the Alcott! Tickets are $15.00 at the door. Doors open at 5PM with puck drop at 5:30PM.
Sunday, Oct. 9th sees the Raiders close out the week in Mississauga against the Chargers. These two clubs met last Saturday night in Georgetown, with the Raiders posting an impressive 8-3 victory. The Raiders will look to impress again with goal scoring and a good 200 foot game on opposition ice. Mississauga posts a 1-8-0-1 record on the season.
