Saturday Showdown in Georgetown

The Raiders have just one single matchup this weekend. Tomorrow, December 16th, the Raiders welcome the Oakville Blades to Alcott Arena at 5:30PM for our final home game of 2023.

This meeting will mark the third clash for these two clubs so far this season. Previous finals have Oakville winning 4-2 on September 28, and Georgetown winning 5-3 on October 14.

Heading into the game, Oakville owns a 15-9-1-0 record, good for 33 points and 7th in the West conference. The Blades are 5-3-1-0 in their last 9 games and are coming off a loss against Milton 3-2 on December 10th. Leading scorer for the Blades is #71 Luke Johnston, who has scored 14 goals and 33 points this season. The Blades is an area of key interest for the Raiders as it sits at 48.94% on the season. Staying out of the box will be key for a Raiders win. The Blades are 7-4-0-0 on the road this season.

Georgetown posts a 17-12-0-4 record, good for 5th in the West and 38 points. The Raiders are 4-5-1-0 in their last 10 and looking to snap a 3 game losing streak after a tough weekend last week, and this is a fantastic opportunity to finish 2023 on a strong note. Leading scorer for your Raiders is Quinn Tavares, with 17 goals and 42 points this season. The Raiders need to grab 2 valuable points tomorrow night. With just 5 points separating these two clubs in the standings, every point matters immensely.

We need all of the Raider Faithful out tomorrow night for our last home game of 2023! Doors open at 5PM tomorrow night, with the Booster Club’s alcohol sales beginning at the same minute. Puck drop is 5:30PM. Tickets are $15.00 at the door of the arena. If you can’t make it to the game, tune into the action on flohockey.tv at 5:30PM. Thank you for your support, Raider Nation!
