KRMPOTIC SIGNS WITH BULLDOGS

Georgetown Raiders defence man Niko Krmpotic has been signed an OHL Scholarship & Development Agreement with the Ontario Hockey League’s Brantford Bulldogs, the club announced this afternoon.

Krmpotic, a 2007-born rookie defence man from Georgetown, Ontario, is in his first season with the Raiders. Niko has scored two goals and nine assists in 43 OJHL games this season with Georgetown. Niko has cemented himself on the blue line for the Raiders this season. He has grown nicely into his role in the defence core and adapted his game to the OJHL’s level of play. Niko has been known to command the play physically and is not afraid to lay down a big hit on an opponent. He is a naturally smooth skater and is fluid in transition through the zones on the ice.

“We are extremely proud of Niko and this accomplishment” Raiders General Manager Mike Dukeshire said Wednesday about the signing. “Niko has become a key part of our defence corps and we are excited to continue to watch his development in the future with Brantford.”
