The Raiders open up another exciting weekend of OJHL action tomorrow night. Here’s this week’s preview.

Friday, Nov. 10, the Raiders travel to Central Arena for a battle with the rival Burlington Cougars. This will be the 3rd meeting of the season for the Raiders and Cougars. Georgetown currently owns a 2-0-0-0 record against Burlington and looks to keep the momentum rolling against Halton-area rivals. Heading into the matchup, the Cougars are coming off a loss at Cobourg on Monday night. Burlington sits at 8th in the western conference with a record of 8-8-0-5 for 21 points. Leading scorer for the Cougars is Justin Legault with 21 points in 20 games played. Goaltender Kyle Motson owns a 5-7-4-0 record with a 3.51 GAA and a .906 SV% on the year. For Georgetown, the Raiders look to increase the winning streak to 3 in a row Friday night, coming off back to back wins last weekend. Georgetown sits at 4th in the west with 27 points and a 12-7-0-3 record. Leading scorer for your Raiders is Quinn Tavares, with 25 points in 22 games. Another huge opportunity to climb the standings and grab 2 points from a rival on the road; expect your Raiders to come out flying tomorrow night. 7:30PM is puck drop live on Flohockey.tv.

Saturday, Nov. 11 at 5:30PM, the Raiders return home for a matchup with one of the newest members of the OJHL, the Niagara Falls Canucks. This will be the Canucks first trip to Alcott Arena. These two clubs met for the first game of their respective seasons back on September 8th in Niagara. The Raiders took that game 3-0. Niagara resides in 10th place in the western conference with 14 points and a 7-12-0-0 record. Leading scorer for the Canucks is Alex Hebblethwaite, scoring 25 points in 16 games played. Goaltender Avery Alves owns a 5-10-0-0 record in 16 games, posting a 4.37 GAA and a .898 SV%. A good opportunity for the Raiders to pick up points on home ice. The Canucks look to snap a 3 game losing streak heading into this game. It all begins at 5PM on Saturday at the Alcott, with doors opening 30 minutes before puck drop for the sale of alcohol to begin. Puck drop is at 5:30PM. Tickets are $15.00 at the door.
