The Georgetown Raiders are back in action Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30PM hosting the Cobourg Cougars in a rare mid-week game at Alcott Arena.

Heading into the game, the Raiders have won 5 of their last 6 contests; the latest being a 7-1 win over the Brantford 99ers last Saturday evening at home. The Raiders hold a 16-8-0-3 record this season, with 35 points and a tie-for-3rd place standing in the West. Leading scorer for your Raiders is forward Quinn Tavares, with 36 points so far this season.

Cobourg sports a 6-2-2-0 record in their last 10 games heading into the matchup. Their last game was a 4-2 loss to Trenton on the 24th. The Cougars own a 14-7-2-3 record, good for 33 points and 5th place in the OJHL’s East conference. Leading scorer for Cobourg is Andy Meist, who has scored 52 points in 26 games so far this season.

This is a fairly close comparison between two teams in the standings and will be a good test for your Raiders. A win Wednesday propels GTown closer to catching Milton for 2nd in the West. We want to see all of Raider Nation in attendance on Wednesday night at Alcott Arena. Tickets are $15.00 + tax at the door of the arena. If you can’t make it to them game, please check out and follow along your Raiders on flohockey.tv, where the game will be broadcast live at 7:30PM.
